King's Notes - Don't join those who insult preachers

Nowadays there are a lot of stories about preachers going about doing a lot of things in secret. No matter what you hear or what you see, you shouldn't talk bad about a preacher, be found standing among groups that are talking bad about a preacher or taking the matter to the internet which is the worst of all.
I myself have sinned in this area a few times. I have talked badly about certain preachers and even posted a video online that didn't have me in it but certainly performed the purpose I wanted it to perform. Thankfully, it didn't ruin the preacher. I regret posting it now and even though I took the video off the web, apparently somebody downloaded it and uploaded it on his own profile.
I know now that no matter what, I shouldn't speak badly about a preacher. I didn't call them into ministry, God did. So what ever issues they may have is between them and God. I would not interfere.
I have decided that even if I believe a preacher is preaching lies it is not my responsibility to expose him. God did not give me the ministry of pointing out which preachers are real and which preachers are fake. God did not give anybody that ministry. Matter of fact, there is no such ministry.
If I see a preacher preaching falsehood the best I can do is pray for him. I won't spend more than one day praying from him though. If he is somebody I know, I can talk to him in secret. It must be a personal conversation or else I would have to leave it alone.
I won't feel guilty for all the people he is deceiving and say to myself that if I say something I might save them. The fact remains that anybody who reads their bible should know that when you come to Christ, you don't need a Pastor like a parasite needs a host. A Pastor isn't the link between you and God. You can speak to God yourself or by reading the bible. You are actually supposed to cross check whatever a Pastor says with what is in the bible.
It is not my responsibility to cross check what everyone in the world has heard from a Pastor for them. It is their responsibility to do it themselves.
And if that wasn't the case, there would still be no point in talking because I won't anyways be there for each person; I certainly can't go around the world monitoring what everybody hears so I have to let go of the whole thing. All I have to do is preach the truth myself and concentrate on what God called me to do.
I apologize to every Preacher who I've ever insulted in the past.
I've asked God to forgive me for it.
Talking ill of a Preacher is very very dangerous. It is written, "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm" (1 Chronicles 16:22)
Even if you remember the story of David and Saul. David was afraid of killing Saul because of the anointing that was once on Saul that the rest of us are really not sure was still on him considering the fact that God had rejected Saul at that time and had made Samuel anoint David to be King.
Even the time someone lied that they killed Saul. David had him killed because the man used his mouth to say that he killed God's anointed.
I've decided to repent from speaking about other Preachers. It's not for me to say if another man's servant falleth or standeth.

King's Notes - The secret of how reading went from boring to exciting for me

Anybody who might have even accidentally heard my name mentioned in a sentence should know that I love to read books.
Anyway, I wasn't always this way. I once found reading actually boring. I knew reading was an important thing even though my understanding of how important it was then was far less than how it became before I actually made a decision to fall in love with reading.
Today, I fall deeper and deeper in love with reading with each passing day.
I could tell you that reading creates a stair-case that takes me higher everyday, but the truth is that as the famous quote goes: "When books are opened, we discover we have wings."
So books don't take take he higher as though I were climbing a stair case but books take me higher as though I was just given wings and I can now fly.
Ok! let me begin to tell you how I went from the guy that was tricked into being content with ignorance to the guy whose mind loves to go swimming in the infinite waters of wisdom.
First, Imagining. When I would read, I would imagine pictures that the words on the page suggest. If I read a line where a pirate is chasing a merchant ship at sea, I would also imagine it too. This is way much cooler than watching a movie. It is like watching a movie where the actions appear the way you want them to appear. If you want the ship between the pages of a novel to have your favorite color you can imagine it does unless the author tells you otherwise. If you want the chief pirate to have a scar above his eye, you can imagine it that way unless the author tells you otherwise. If it's a romance story you can imagine the heroine is the spiting image of your wife. I recommend you do that even if the author says otherwise. That's the beautiful thing about a novel, you can imagine the heroine to look like your wife but that would be difficult to do while watching a movie.
By the way, the female on the cover of a novel is not the female that the author was thinking about while writing the story, but is the model the book agency could find that best fits the description of the female the author described in the book.
When I get married, I would think of my wife when I write. Right now I'm not even seeing anyone so I imagine my idea of the kind of woman that I would like to marry when I write romance stories. There are reasons why I say you should imagine the heroine in a novel to look like your wife. The reason is because when you read a good/strong romance story: you could fall in love with the characters, you form a bond with the characters and you could even develop certain desires for the characters. Even though they may not be real to you in the real world, they could be real to you in your fantasies.
In case you are reading something that might not be a story. A book on economics perhaps. You could try to imagine how the times looked, or how it applies to you.
When I'm reading a book on economics I like to imagine myself in a position relating to what I am reading. What does the book suggesting I do then? Would it work?
For example, I could read a book on economics and think, what if I was a banker, how could I use the knowledge I'm currently reading to help the bank become the best bank around and also make myself a lot more richer?
Would applying the knowledge in the book even work?
What obstacles could I face that may not even be covered in the book?
What knowledge of my own that the author may not even know can I add to the one he wrote and get even much more stronger ideas so that I can learn more than what is even written in the book so that after reading; I end up more knowledgable on the subject than the author who wrote the book on the subject?
You have to imagine when you read, especially if you are coming from a background where you watched more than 2 hours of TV everyday, because you are used to being excited by images and not words. So in other the make words exiting to you, you have to imagine images that the words inspires.
A second thing I did that helped me fall in love with reading was listening to sermons, financial, motivational & academic teachings on audio tapes (they don't exist anymore so try mp3 podcasts).
Now, listening is not the same thing as reading. However, the kind of things I was listening to was educational. It was just men and women talking about intelligent concepts which is really similar to reading an educational book out loud. I was programming myself to easily make the transition to reading books. This is all because I was introduced to really long hours of TV from an early age. Now, I had to deprogram my mind from receiving information in the only way it was accustomed to enjoying receiving it.
If I was introduced to books instead of TV at an early age, all of this wouldn't have been necessary. But sadly, I wasn't raised to love books. I wasn't raised on books. I was only asked to read to get good grades and not to read because reading is inseparable from living.
A third thing I did that helped me was to look at reading as entering into my special place. Reading is a haven to me.
When the whole world around me is in turmoil, I can walk into my haven - my special place.
I'm not talking of Escapism. I'm talking about walking into a world of wonder and possibilities. A world where my brain can eat, exercise to sharpen itself, see different perspectives and also encounter an inexhaustible flow of possibilities.
A fourth thing I did was to read faster. Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you picked up a book to read and 20 minutes later you where on the same page?
Well if, Yes. Then it was because your mind wandered away. It is another side effect of someone who was raised on TV. You are used to seeing images move at the rate of 30 frames per second if you are used to watching TV. Each image is the equivalent of a page if you are reading a book unless you are creating imaginations in your mind that is influenced by each word on a page.
You would have to speed up your reading so that you would not get bored or your mind would not veer off to something else in the middle of your reading. Your mind has already been made used to receiving 30 images in a second thanks to your TV, so when your mind is not at work fast enough, it would tend to veer of to something else. Thus, things like A.D.D (Attention Deficit disorder).
The people who have the so called A.D.D are people who were affected by watching too much TV more than anyone else. It doesn't mean that they watch too much TV more than everyone else who watches too much TV. It just means they are AFFECTED by it more than everyone else who watches too much TV.
They are just smarter so they could process more images while watching TV much faster than others and have gotten used to it, hence reading or engaging in any activity where their brain waves aren't moving at a hyper level would obviously bore them and their minds would veer away to something else which still won't hold their imagination for long.
A fifth thing I did was to stay away from people who classify reading as uncool. I avoid such people more than I would avoid someone who holds a knife in his hand and is trying to kill me because the person who tries to turn me against reading by classifying it as uncool is doing much worse.
The sixth and final thing that I did is much like the fifth thing but it is different. It is that; I positioned myself in a way that only those who love reading can get close to me. If you don't like reading, there is no way you can find yourself talking to me for 10 minutes, much less be given the opportunity to be my friend.

King's Notes - Aim for the tip of the mountain top

I think BIG. I believe in thinking big. If you think small, you would never achieve big things.
If an athlete in the Olympics goes into a competition thinking well there are just so many talented people here the best I can expect to get is a bronze medal. There is no way in the world that such an athlete would get a gold medal. As a matter of fact, due to the athlete's attitude I doubt that he/she would even get the bronze medal.
You can never fly higher than what you aim for and I am not talking about jumping; don't be funny you know what I mean.
Aiming high doesn't cost a dime and even if it did I would gladly pay.
I aim high but not just high though. I aim for the tip of the mountain top.
If what I'm aiming for doesn't look unattainable to everyone else in the world, then I'm not aiming high enough.
I believe that greatness means achieving something that nobody before you has ever achieved and no one after you would never achieve.

King's Notes - I think I pray about money too much

Prayer is very important to me. I pray a lot. If you've been reading the King's Notes, you would find out that I pray at any time and not only during my official prayer time. I pray about my future & other stuff while washing my clothes. I pray about my future & other stuff while walking to the market. I pray about my future & other stuff while I sit in the back sit of a taxi. I pray just about anywhere.
If I'm doing something and then I remember the word "prayer", I begin to pray if it doesn't disturb what I'm doing.
I've discovered that I pray a lot about money. I don't have money problems. I'm rich and money would never be my problem cause God is my source. In any case, I often pray about money a lot. Frankly, I pray about soul winning and not missing God's will & plan for my life more than I pray about money, but still, how much I pray about money should still be considered a lot.
Now, is this wrong? Does it make me greedy? Does it make me canal? Does it mean that I am getting less interested in spiritual things and I'm getting into drawn towards material things?
Well, the answer would be yes if I weren't planning to use the money to do God's work.
Therefore my desire for more money which should have been a thing that I should have put in check is now proof of my love for the work - God's work.
I would keep praying about money but I won't pray. God give me money prayers. I don't pray those kinds of prayers. I pray faith prayers. I pray prayers of thanks that God has made available to me all the money that I would ever need to make my future happen, and he has all the right people in place to help me get there.
So even though I think I pray too much about money, it's Ok?

King's Notes - How to pray and receive answers instantaneously

I love to pray. When I pray I get answers to my prayers. Before, when I prayed I would metaphorically cross my fingers and hope that God would answer my prayers.
But later I heard about a certain minster that prayed for the sick and when he prayed people would instantaneously get healed. He would pray for people Live at crusades or at his church with cameras on and people watching him.
When he prayed, lame people would get out of wheelchairs. The blind would receive their sight. The deaf will hear. The dumb people could speak. All because of simple prayers this Pastor would say.
Some people criticized the Pastor; they couldn't believe it was real even though they knew that Jesus talked about these kinds of things in the bible. They probably wouldn't admit this but the reason they didn't believe was because they too must have prayed to God and asked for a miracle at some point in their lives but unlike the Pastor who received an answer to his prayers; they didn't.
Instead of joining other Christians and being skeptical, I asked myself, why does this Pastor receive such instantaneous answers and I don't?
I, unlike some believers believe what Jesus said when he said these signs shall follow them that believe. [*Reference* Mark 16:17]
I have always believed that scripture even though I hadn't seen it yet in my life or any other person's life for that matter. I just found it hard to disbelief that a God who created the world and all human beings would be able to use another human being to make a lame man walk.
Anyway, I attended his crusade and saw the miracles first hand. All that was in my thoughts as I saw this was, 'if Jesus can do this through him, then Jesus can do this through me.'
I never get jealous of another minister achieving what I want to achieve, or someone in the business world making leaps forward that I would love to make. It just makes me go; if he can do it, I can do it too. That's how I think.
Being jealous of another person's achievements pushes your ability to acheive that thing further way from you.
I bought video tapes by that preacher and watched them at home when my mates where watching hollywood movies. I didn't like reading then but I figured that since I'm used to watching movies and music videos, I should get something of the preacher that is in the format that I'm used to. So, I got his video tapes. What I'm telling you about happened in my high school days, there were no DVDs as such in Nigeria at the time but I remember we had a VCD player and a video cassette player. That time, video cassette players weren't completely phased out in Nigeria. I watched the video tapes where this preacher spoke about prayer. I watched them over and over again.
Over the years, my understanding of prayer has grown on what I learnt through those tapes.
Are you ready for it? Are you ready to hear how to pray and receive answers instantaneously?
Ok! First of, all prayers must be heart-felt. If you don't feel your prayer in your own heart : if your prayer is not sincere and coming from the bottom of your heart; then don't expect God to feel your prayers himself and don't expect him to answer them.
Pray simple prayers but not with the aim of simply being simple but approach it as you would a sincere heart-felt conversation. Don't feel like you need to reach out to someone in the heavens far above that is so far away from you but can still hear you because of his divine soverignity, but as though God was present beside you.
When you pray, believe that you have received an answer to your heart-felt prayer as long as you didn't hear God saying No!
After praying, just believe that your heart-felt prayer has been answered. You must recieve the answer first by faith before you can receive it in the physical.
If you are cripled and you want God to heal you. First you must believe that God is ABLE to heal you and that he WANTS to heal you right now.
After you are sure you believe that, pray to God to heal you, then after that you must believe that he has healed you. Just get up and walk. Keep your mind on the scriptures or on how powerful and awesome God is. Don't let doubt set in. At that moment not allowing a pinch of doubt into your heart is very important. Even if doubt shows up you must counter it with the word or your faith in what God wants to happen right now.
If you hear a voice in your head going, "You would never be able to stand up, remember what the doctor said. You would never walk. You could try now and something worse would happen."
Counter that voice with something like, "Shut up Devil, you are a liar. I believe the report of the Lord over the report of the doctor and the word of God says that I am healed. Therefore I would stand today."
Continue trying to get up. You would see your miracle.
If before, you could only stand half way and now you are standing more than half way but you are still unable to stand up fully straight. Don't say, Oh! it did not work or God gave me a half way there miracle. No!!! Don't say that, instead focus on your healing. Focus on your miracle. Focus on thanking God for your ability to make the little movements that you could not have made before. Let it be your physical proof that your heart-felt prayer is working. Then based on that keep trying to get up as you know and can see that your miracle has already begun. Thank God all the while and know that nothing in the world is more powerful than God's word. Keep your mind on God or God's word or both.
I tell you, if you do this; you would stand.

King's Notes - Africa is richer than America

As you may know, I live in Africa. I live on a continent that doesn't have one of the best financial reputations. Africa is known as the poorest continent in the world.
Well, I would like to tell all those people who think that it is that they are wrong. Africa is not the poorest continent in the world. Africa is not even poor to begin with. Africa is by far richer than America. America can't touch Africa's financial state and she never will.
The problem is that Africa which is very rich is full of Africans who are very poor.
Don't worry, I will break it down so that you would understand the difference.
Africa is a place, and an African is a person. The place called Africa which all of you are calling poor is rich with diamonds, coal, oil, agricultural products that don't grow anywhere else and many many more natural resources; that America can only dream off but many Americans do not need to dream of because they are smart enough to use the smaller resources they have to produce much so they can trade for the ones Africa has and produce even more.
Can you get it now?
Africa is richer but it is not physical wealth that is important, it is mental wealth that is important.
Are you now getting it?
Americans as a people focus on improving their minds more than Africans care about doing so. Therefore, the guys with they smarts minds are more productive and are able to multiply the little they have many times over such that they have more than the one who can simply walk to the beach and pick up diamonds by the sea shore.
Seriously folks, Africa is seriously blessed. We don't have hurricanes, tonardoes, earthquakes or natural disasters. Almost all the countries in Africa have never had any of these natural distaters since the day God made this world as far anyone can remember. I'm serious. There are no records in history of any natural disaster in almost all the African countries, before and after their independence.
I live in Africa but I've never even heard of a volcano erupting. Since there are mountains in Africa, I'm guessing that some of those mountains were results of eruptions, but I know it certainly didn't happen in my time or even my great great great great great great great great grand father's time.
Mental wealth would always be higher than economic or physical wealth. And do you know what the best part is? It is that mental wealth is FREE! You don't need to exchange anything big for it, all you need to do is give wisdom your ear. All you have to do is listen to words of wisdom or read books or writings that are pearls of wisdom.
Wisdom is FREE!!!
You are getting free words of wisdom right now as you are reading this.
Even in the case where you have to buy a good book or pay for an education; you are actually not paying for wisdom.
In the case of buying a book, you are paying for the author's permission to look into his world of wisdom on a particular subject matter or series of subject matters.
In the case of your paying for an expensive or inexpensive University education; you are playing for the privilege of the school giving you the same knowledge that you could get anywhere else including a public library but not with the guidance of the select group of teachers they have on staff, and you are also paying for access into the world's economic system which is structured so that if you do not have a University degree in a field in-spite of the fact that you have learnt all there is to know in that field from a library or elsewhere you still would not be able to get a job in that field. Lastly, you are paying for the name of that University or the prestige of that University - you are paying for the opportunity to say years later that you went to so and so prestigious University (which to me is just a silly reason to pay an exorbitant school fee).
Anyway, so now you know the truth. America is not richer than Africa. It is many Africans that have chosen not to apply themselves and therefore are poor, while Americans apply themselves and multiply in productivity many times over.
I'm in Africa right now but I'm rich. I'm accomplished, and I would accomplish a lot more in the future. I am even accomplishing a lot right now.
There are Africans in the Africa where people are told you can't make it but many people are making it. There are many rags to riches stories in Africa. Funny how every story emphasizes the importance of knowledge and hard work. Hmm! That's something to think about.
I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "Black people don't read."
Well can you imagine that even though I am in Africa and I post FREE stories online every single day, 56.9% of my viewership on scribd.com comes from America while the remaining percent come from other places except Africa. I'm serious, in-spite of how large Africa is and how many countries are in Africa, there are no stats to show visits from anyone in an African country.
Don't lie to yourself that there aren't internet connections in Africa. There are. There are many networks now operating in Africa. Africans are online but they are either on Facebook.com talking about nonsense or are too busy watching porno and downloading it to there cellphones so they can carry it anywhere they go.
Americans are taught from a young age to read and to love their country. While Africans are taught from a young age to dance to music and to protest to everything the government does and be ready to pick up weapons in the name of change.
I feel sorry for Africans. I really do.
I know that I may be an African on the outside but I am not an African on the inside.
If you like call me a traitor. But if it is this never ending protesting and this expectation that the majority of African's have that they are supposed to prosper when they have turned their backs on books; then, count me out.
Yes, that's what I said. Count me out. I don't want to be black and I'm not black . If this is what being black is about then count me out.
If you like carry this writing everywhere and say, "Hey everybody! look at what this traitor wrote." I don't care. Even if everyone on the web insults me. I don't care. I'm going to tell the truth about how I feel. Black people don't impress me. All I've ever seen is black people complain, and complain, and complain, and complain. And frankly, I'm tired. If this is what being black is about, then I don't want to be black.
African's have nothing to be proud of. I won't lie to myself and wear Proudly African T-Shirts like other people when you can't show me what is to be proud of when a continent has been blessed with inexhaustible riches and yet African can't do something with it.
If all the Americans in the world where told to leave all that they had behind and where told to move to Africa, and Africans where told that they should take all their physical belongings with them and move to America; when you come back 5 years later you would see that America would now look like Africa and Africa would now look America. The only difference would be the skin color of the inhabitants.
I refuse to be a part of any race that turns their backs on books.
I am not black, I know I am not white but I also know I don't have to stand in either one of the two.
I am a member of the new race that Jesus brought. A race not based on skin color but a race based on whether or not you have Christ in you. A race of people who have wisdom. A race of people who have wisdom love wisdom. A race of people who do not turn their back on knowledge or books.
And by the way, white people have started heading for disaster with the way they are pumping their heads with sex and violence from their self-made entertainment mediums. Now, if you want something to appeal to an American you would have to add the word "sexy" to it. Example; that's a sexy car, or that boat is sexy, or that bicycle is sexy, even to an American a baseball bat can be sexy.
Americans obsession with sex would soon destroy her.
But then again that's where my purpose in life comes in: to save America, Africa and the rest of the world. Wow! I'm great.
I know all black people are not they same and all Americans are not the same but I am speaking of the majority. I am speaking in general.

King's Notes - My brick wall in soul winning

As you all know, I love writing. And as you all also know, I love reaching out with the gospel to people with my writing.
Have you ever found sharing the gospel difficult? Have you ever found it difficult to share the gospel to a friend or someone you always see around for the fear of how they would react? After all there is strong hostility in the world towards Christianity, and an interesting form of hostility is growing in America.
Well, if you are having these problems, don't worry. They are easy to solve. It is all a matter of wisdom, confidence and strategy.
Back in the day, I used to just walk out of my Mum's house and introduce myself to strangers and talk to them about Jesus Christ. I led a lot of people to Christ that way. Sometimes, I would talk to a hundred people in one day, but that was only when I wouldn't talk much but would hand them tracts I made myself. I just gave them the tracts last and not first. If I offered to give them the tracts first, some of them would have past right by me, while others would have thrown the tracts away when they taught I wasn't looking.
I didn't approach people like I was a preacher. I wasn't always on fire for the Lord so I know from my past feelings that not everybody would love to talk to a preacher. I approached them like a stranger would who wasn't interested in preaching the gospel. My bible was small and always hidden in my pocket. The tracts were hidden in my back pocket. They never knew I was going to preach to them. They always thought I approached them for another reason. Probably to ask the time, or for directions or something.
I also never began the conversation with Jesus. I would talk about something else then when they respond and the atmosphere had become friendly I would use something they had said to add the word God into it and trust me you can bring God into any subject and when God is brought into a subject, Jesus can be brought in too.
For example if I say, "Hey, that's a nice jersey. Do you play football?", and then they go, "No", I would be like, "Me neither. I suck at it. I guess GOD did not have football in mind when he was creating me."
You see. You can bring God into every topic because God is everywhere and his influence is everywhere, even though he doesn't directly control every event otherwise mankind might as well be called robotkind. Mankind is responsible for events in this world but God's influence is still present and can be felt and seen everywhere.
Of course there are times when God directly controls events, but that's when we use the word: SUPERNATURAL. It means out of the ordinary. A Miracle. Do you get it now?
And even at that, God has delegated Christians with the authority to perform some kinds of miracles but not all. The gift of healing for example.
Understanding these things and revising my strategy has helped me overcome my brick wall in soul winning.
Now I focus on writing and I'm reaching out to way more people than I could reach by only walking about.
One key strategy I have learnt to implement when you are writing articles online that people particularly Americans would read is; Don't tell them what to do, just show them the proove of what you've discovered to be the truth.
There are different kinds of brick walls to soul winning. They change through time as times change, but with the Holy Spirit, soul winning can be easy and Fun like A,B, C's.

King's Notes - I always choose the family friendly movie over the secular one

I've always loves movies, but ever since I read Ben Carson's Think Big; mixed with me reaching the age when I shouldn't be dependent on my Mother's purse, watching TV just fell out of taste with my mind.
I will own my own Christian TV stations but still, I won't spend all day watching TV now or ever. I will write the scripts for many a great Christian TV sitcoms but still, I won't spend all day watching TV.
I don't even have time to watch TV cause I'm walking to my destiny. In any case, whenever I watch TV. I choose the family friendly movie over the secular one every time.
If I must watch TV, I might as well watch something edifying and not something destructive. Besides, when we patronize family friendly and Christian movies, we decrease the number of the other kind of movies out there.

King's Notes - Soliloquize the word

I've learnt that it's important to keep the word of God in your mind.
It is important to keep the word of God on your lips. It's important to remind yourself of the beautiful things the word of God says about you. You would need it when trials come your way. Don't be perturbed by trials. Trials are nothing but mountains and hills in your way that you need to climb to take you to a higher level.
Do you know what the best part about that is?
It is that the Holy Spirit himself would help you climb the mountains and hills. Hallelujah! This of cause only applies if you are a believer in Jesus and have also received the Holy Spirit.
For us who are in Christ, trials are there to take us higher, but for those who are outside Christ, trials are there to keep them from moving forward.
Aren't you glad that you are a Christian? What could be better?
If you aren't a Christian, you'd better say the prayers at the bottom of this post so that you can become a Christian today.
Ok! Back to soliloquy. Soliloquy means to talk to oneself.
Talking to oneself can mean that you are crazy but I guess it depends on what you are saying to yourself and why you are saying it.
If you are talking to yourself to declare the word of God over yourself then that's not crazy that's called being wise.
I talk to myself regularly when I'm by myself. I tell myself that I am great. I tell myself I can not have accidents. I tell myself that I am rich. I tell myself that my destiny is secure.
Most of the time, I speak in tongues in-between what I'm saying to myself. This isn't my prayer time I'm writing about. I'm writing about times that I have time to talk to myself and want to remind myself of who I am. This could be anytime of the day. As I'm saying these things I am programming myself to think a certain way.
If you tell yourself that you are a winner and can accomplish any goal; every single day when you wake up and also at different intervals during the day. Do you think you wouldn't feel you can accomplish any goal imaginable in a few months time?
If you are afraid of the dark and you choose to apply this formula but say, "I am not afraid of the dark", at intervals everyday even though you might still sleep with the lights on, do you thing that in a few months you won't be able to sleep with the lights off?
Talk to yourself. Soliloquize the word.
I know some of you are thinking that some of the examples I gave earlier are not God word. Well, they may not be direct quotes from God's word but they certainly are in line with God's word and that's where the power comes from.

King's Notes - Be nice & avoid arguments

Always be nice to everybody you meet. Let people see Jesus through you. Don't let people who meet you ever leave you taking with them a bad experience.
If you are nice to people, people would be nice to you and people would do nice and wonderful things for you.
When people piss you off, do the right thing and stay clam (It may take some time getting used to but you can do it).
Don't try to solve conflict with conflict.
Normally, if I'm in a conversation with someone and I see it is starting to become an argument I change the topic (that doesn't always work), or I tell a joke, or I tell the person to please excuse me that I have something else to do and since after I say that I start walking away without waiting for a response; the person can't do anything but watch my back disappear into the distance or another room.
I'm not lying when I say I have something else to do. Sleeping is doing something and so is sitting down alone doing nothing (some great ideas have come to me that way).
Avoid arguments, they are a waste of time. You never even really get your point across when you argue. It's best to sit across a time like sensible intelligent men or women and talk.
Arguments are for barbarians and wild men.

King's Notes - Funny Truths about people who say there is no God, and a few things about prayer

I've learnt the importance of prayer on so many occasions in my life. If it wasn't for prayer I wouldn't even be writing this right now. Prayer changes things, people, circumstances and just about anything.
When I hear people say there is no God I wonder what planet they are from. Me, over hearing someone say there is no God is like them over hearing someone say that they do not believe human beings exist. I'm sure that if they over heard someone say that they wouldn't even bother to respond because they would feel the person must have escaped from a mental institution or should be in one receiving the help they need. Well, that's the way I feel about them too for saying that God does not exist.
I see the hand of God not only in the beauty of creation by also in my personal life. I've observed that when secular people especially in America use the word prayer or praying; they are implying based on how the words in their sentences are structured that you've done all you could to make something happen but nothing did and since all you've done is not working you have decided to throw the responsibility of it being done into the clouds. Thus, you're being irresponsible by praying.
Most of these people who view prayer this way and don't believe in God wouldn't tell you this but the truth is that in the past (sometimes even in the present) they have prayed to God themselves and they didn't get any answer. Instead of them to find out why they didn't get an answer when they prayed to God again and again during their time of need, they resort to concluding there is no God.
Just because when they prayed they got no answer they therefore say that all those people who are saying they are getting answers are lying.
Look, if you can't catch a basketball in midair and dunk it with one hand, it doesn't mean that everybody else who says they can are lying. Just because you can't do something doesn't mean others who said they can are lying. And just because you did something and didn't get a specific result doesn't mean that everybody else who did that same thing can't get a different result from what you got.
What these people should find out is why it didn't work for them, why that other person got it and they didn't, why the other person got the result they wanted and they didn't. They should find out what that other person did that they didn't do.
In the case of the basketball example that I gave, they should find out what training drills the person does that they don't do.
In the case of prayer they should understand this; if you want God to hear your prayer you must become a child of God. We are not all children of God but we are all created by God. We are not born children of God. If you want to be a child of God you have to consciously come to God - you have to receive Jesus Christ into your heart. When you do that and you pray, then and only then is God obliged to hear you. But God hearing you is different from God answering you. If you want to receive from God when you pray you must have faith - you must believe that you would receive otherwise you most likely wouldn't get it unless somebody else who has faith is also praying for you.
If you are not a Christian and you have what you think is faith (but really can't be the God type of faith because you are not a Christian), and you pray to God you certainly wouldn't get answers.
There is only one prayer that a non-Christian is allowed to pray. It is the prayer to become a Christian - the prayer to receive Christ. Any other prayer does not have the right to be answered.
So now, you know why when you prayed your prayers weren't answered. And now, you know what to do.

King's Notes - I am not the poor trying to get rich

When I was in high school, I heard a sermon that changed my approach to my finances forever. I heard a deep and powerful truth that rocked and changed the very foundation of what I believed and changed every thought about money that I had.
I, like a lot of other people had aways looked at myself as someone who was on the journey to becoming rich. The journey to success essentially means the journey to becoming rich.
However, after I heard this sermon I realized that I am already rich by faith the same way that I am the righteousness of God by faith.
("For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." - 2nd Corinthians 5: 21 )
The same way I had become a child of God by faith - a younger brother to Jesus Christ by faith. In that same way I had become rich.
It is written that he (Jesus) became poor for our sakes that we through his poverty might become rich. ( 2nd Corinthians 8: 9 )
If I have faith that he paid the price for my sins so I won't have to pay for them and if I have faith that by his stripes I am healed, then, I must also have faith that I am rich even though there may be no money in my pocket.
No matter the state of my bank account I still believe the word. I still stand firmly on the word. I am not struggling to believe God's word, I just believe it.
You can't catch me saying I'm poor or complaining to somebody and saying their isn't enough money in my pocket. I speak wealth. I speak prosperity. I speak abundance. I refuse to speak lack.
If somebody says I'm poor I tell them that's a lie because I'm rich.
I think rich. I cannot think like poor people. When they say all the poor people in the room raise up your hand so we can give you some money I don't put up my hand.
When Americans are thinking of sending money to Africa and Africans start rejoicing because of the free food and money they are about to get, I sit apart from them and think of sending money to America to help all those poor and even the middle class people in America.
I refuse to think like the poor. I refuse to accept poverty because I have realized that because of what Christ did for me I AM NOT THE POOR TRYING TO GET RICH, I AM THE RICH SENT TO MAKE OTHERS RICH.
If I'm asked if I'm rich I always say, Yes!
You may say that I'm lying but the truth is I would be lying if I said that I was poor, because God has already made me rich.
Look, even those who do not even believe in Christ but are rich believe that being rich starts with your mind and not your bank account.
Let me ask you a question, when a king takes off his crown and royal robes at night to sleep does it mean he is no more a king? Ok! How about princes and princesses through history whose fathers where killed, their father's kingdom raided and destroyed and their people either taken away as prisoners of war or they escaped to far away lands, yet the princes and princesses of such places escaped to another kingdom they had good relations with and they were still treated as royalty. They were still treated and attended to like princes and princesses even though they had lost every single thing they had. They had no money but were still royalty.
Royalty is not about what you have, it's about who you are.
Being rich is not about what you have in your pocket or bank account, it's about who you are. What you have can be taken away from you but who you are can never be taken away from you.
What you have inside you cannot be taken away from you. The knowledge you have inside you cannot be taken away from you by any robber, any fraudster or any government.
If you have the knowledge on how to make money, it can never be taken away from you.
I now define success differently. To me, success means HELPING OTHERS. It is that simple. Do you help people? If Yes, then you are a success.
You may say King, if you think you are rich why then do you still wake up in the morning and make more money. The answer is simple: GROWTH.
When we stop growing, we start dying.
I don't make money in other to become rich. I make money to increase upon what I already have.

King's Notes - It's a new day, make the wrong side of the bed the right side of the bed

Have you ever heard somebody say, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today?
Well I, like a lot of other people have read more into that phrase than what the dictionary actually says it means.
To me it refers to when you wake up in the morning and you don't quite feel like waking up - you don't quite feel like getting out of bed. A part of you feels like you are going to come down with a fever or something yet you know that you are not coming down with anything.
You also happen to feel weakened by only thinking about the tasks that you would have to carry out that day.
Can you relate to what I'm talking about? Have you ever felt this way?
Well, anytime you wake up in the morning and you feel this way, I will tell you what you should do. You should spend a few brief seconds or minutes speaking the word of God over your body, your life and your day.
You could say things like, "The Joy of the Lord is my strength" or even things that are not direct bible quotes like, "I am strong in the name of Jesus" or "The strength of God is at work in me" or "This day is going to be an awesome day in the name of Jesus."
Be creative, you don't have to say exactly what I've written but say something that would stir up enthusiasm for the day within you. Speak it out loud so your body and your ears can really hear the message you have for them. And while you speak, don't doubt what you say. Cast away the doubt and cast away the feeling of lethargy. Then move forward with joy & strength and win in your day. Hallelujah!

King's Notes - Don't call your dreams dreams

When I talk to people about my future or the things that I intend to do, when they respond in support they use the words "your dreams."
I've always been offended by that and wondered where they got the word, "dream" from. When I say things like, "I would have my own Christian movie channels", I am not just saying something I wish would come true. It's not something I dream would happen, it's a destination that my activities each passing day draws me closer to.
If I intend to wake up tomorrow morning and after praying and doing my shores go to the supermarket to buy some groceries, would it be right to say I dream of going to the supermarket tomorrow? Such a thing won't be called a dream. When your child returns from school on Monday, does he have a dream that he would be in school tomorrow or does he know that he would be in school tomorrow?
Dreams give off a feel of something unrealistic - something far but so close - something far way and intangible but very real only within your heart.
It's cool for somebody else to have dreams but as for me, the things that would have been called my dreams I rather call them my real life destinations.
Rather than having dreams and thinking in the perspective of having and trying to achieve your dreams; have goals.
Ok! Let me put it in another way to help you out. You know those dreams you have? Map out on paper a series of actions you would take that would get you from where you are right now to that dream of ours. Then stick to the plan. That is how to take your dreams from the dream world into the real world.

King's Notes - There are those who watch TV and there are those who are on TV

A long time ago after hearing a beautiful sermon at a crusade I finally figured out that there are those who watch TV and there are those who are onTV.
Anytime you watch TV, you are watching someone else make money or advancing their careers. No one ever gets to be on TV for watching TV.
As a matter of fact, there is no TV show about someone who just watches TV all day.
Maybe you want to be the guy who is known for watching TV, I on the other hand would like to be known as the guy who is on TV or even better; the guy who owns the TV channel.
Ever since I read the book THINK BIG by Ben Carson, I haven't been into TV. However, quite recently I made some serious lifestyle changes in other to become a whole lot more productive and interestingly right now I just don't have time for TV. I am just too busy. If I want to be less productive I should just go back to being a guy who loves to watch TV and not the guy who would soon be on it.
